Harmony Day is a celebration of cultural diversity and a day of cultural respect for everyone that calls Australia home. It is held each year on March 21st to coincide with the United Nations International Day of Racial Discrimination.
To celebrate Harmony Day in 2018, the Sydney Soulfulness Centre invites you to Sounds Of Harmony, a two hour Concert & Meditation with special musical guests representing different cultures, including the Sydney Sufi Ensemble, Melanie Louise Eden, our own choir and more, all offering special musical performances in tribute to this important day and message.
The Sydney Sufi Ensemble offers a rare taste of the ritual music of a contemporary Sufi House, with poetry from Rumi, Hafez and contemporary Sufi poets. Melanie Eden is a Pansori style singer who performs with a percussionist.
Our choir will sing Love Peace and Harmony as well as offer several other performances. Let us join together in Love Peace and Harmony on this special day that honors all people of all cultures.
